I will try those. The price for an RGB controller is nice. Plus power supply and outdoor RGB LEDs? Not bad at all.

That's what I figured. I read through some of the older threads on the sylvania lights but didn't say anything newer on the garden lights but for that price. It is worth trying.

Did anyone else order one? I got notice from Amazon on the 30th that they were delayed. Now looking at October most likely. I really want them for Halloween. Light up my carved headstones as people walk by.

I ordered two sets. Got the same notice recently.

As long as they do not delay again... Even their current "worst case" of mid-October should work. If they delay again... I will still keep the order but just plan for Christmas.

This was the first time I complained to Amazon (the delay is just so big and they really are for Halloween). They offered free expedited shipping from another seller... That cost twice as much. Sorry, no.

Yeah in my experience they don't do much when orders are delayed. Otherwise their support is usually pretty good.

Placed it the day of the sale. July 27th. No idea what the time was though. Not at this point.

Same here, pretty early in the day I think. I didn't receive any indication they were coming soon until the email showed up today.

Got mine today. Need to add one tonight. Initial indications are good.

Had time after dinner. Added without any trouble to my Almond+. Response time was good. Colors are decent but the RGB mix is obvious up close (needs some distance from an object to blend). The power supply and controller seem weather resistant. I think the weird flat wire is a bit too big and obvious, but it has to carry enough power for extensions I guess. Have to see what it looks like at night.

So overall they look decent.
Brightness control is broad enough and they are plenty bright at the highest, dim at the bottom, without a major gap before going off.
Color is... OK. Each of the three colors are pretty decent. But they are hampered by the optics. When you want anything other than a base color the blend is noticeable even when on something a good range (10ft) away. This can be a good or bad thing. For us it is neutral. Some purposes good, some bad.
The optics do help it have a cone of light versus the more narrow focus an LED typically has. I wonder how they would work roughed up a bit to diffuse it more though. I might try that out.

Overall: Satisfied with the purchase, especially on sale, but not sure I would consider retail price justified.

Concur. I will say I like the iOS control better than android since it doesn't back out to the device screen with each change. The lights overall I like. Also the lights themselves can also be removed from the stakes to be surface mounted which I like a lot. I wonder how they work when extended to 18 feet. Also, the power supply housing is rated IP68 and includes the ability to mount it with screws. There is a second small unit that houses the lightify controller. Also mountable by screw and adhesive tape. Overall, happy with it and would buy at discount again but probably not full price unless I had a specific use/need for one. Paired easily. Of note, I can control colors in the rules but apparently not in scenes. Not sure what's going on with that.

Yes... I think I will have to bring up about the way the app is kicking back. I want to try it with one of my other RGB devices to see. Have not tried to add it to Rules or Scenes yet (definitely have to, the main plan is to have them highlight headstones I carved for Halloween, and change colors when a motion detector goes off). I would hope that they are effectively the same as the Dresden RGB controller, since in reality they really are basically the same thing.

Installed my second set this morning. Same as before. Double checked, no color control in scenes via Android app but it is there in the iOS app.

@mparadis:
I can control the color just fine from the Android app when creating a scene. First you have to turn it on though. Then it will show the color selection (grayscale at first).

@fillibar You are correct and that does indeed work for me.

Edit: I also just ordered two of their A19 rgbw bulbs. They won't be delivered for a bit but for two of them it was very reasonably priced as opposed to a single from other brands. Any experience with those?

Nope. Let me know. I did see that Lowes has most of their stuff on a 25% sale... But the stuff they had was still pricey.

The two bulbs are like $63 on Amazon but I purchased a used set from them for $52, as long as they work I don't see the issue with them being used. Hoping they work well. Will report when I get them.

So I got my two sets, but I realized I have no power outside my house to connect them. I was planning to return them, but I figured I bought it at a good price, so I am willing to sell them at the same price I bought it + shipping in case any one here wants it.
