For those who haven't seen... I had signed up to be notified when the retail version was available and received an update that the pre-order price was $190 (USD) and full retail was $250 (USD). I was expecting it to be in that range considering the original almond's ~$100 tag (now slightly cheaper). Just some info for you. I think that when this is fully functioning with no bugs, it could be highly successful especially if it can get movement in the market before too many people start investing in other systems / hubs.

We'd hoped to be able to bring it to market at a lower cost, but with all the hardware changes, it's impossible, especially due how retail business works.
You're right though, we need to get things done quickly, but we also need to get things done right. We've already had way too many issues and we can't go into retail with some of those issues, as you only get one chance.
I believe we're on the right track and I'll be sharing more details of the notifications and automation as soon as I can, but it'll be on our blog, rather than in the forums.

More details today, no need to do anything if you've already registered, we've done a staggered release.
