Title: R70 rules interface lacks the ability to view properties of rules.
Post by: sfalc on February 11, 2015, 02:40:23 pm
In the previous beta the rules interface had a function to check the detailed properties of each and every rule.
The current incarnation of the rules interface, while giving more clarity at a glance, lacks this function.
Please add it back, the detailed data in text form was useful.

I've passed on the feedback to the software team.

Note that you can find the full rule file in the /tmp directory if you SSH in to the Almond+. It's called Rules.xml and if you type "cat Rules.xml" and hit enter, it'll list the content of the file and you can see all the rules.

Hi sfalc,

In the previous beta the rules interface had a function to check the detailed properties of each and every rule.

The issue I know that the UI has, is missing device state information. New upcoming UI update fixes it though. If its something other than this, can you please explain what are you looking for when you say 'detailed properties' ?

The beta Web-UI had in its rules interface, for each rule, a clickable button (three dots) that brought up the specific properties of the rule in a separate window. The currrent version of the web UI lacks that feature. See the attached images.

I just realised that this is only a problem as long as you can't edit rules. When that is possible, this will be unnecessary. Please ignore this thread.
