Title: 2Gig ZW sensors
Post by: rldreams on May 23, 2015, 01:31:24 pm
Has anybody had any experience with 2GIG z-wave sensors ? I had never heard of the brand before now.  Big orange has some kits / bundles featured in this weekend's ad. Unfortunately neither of my local stores has any in stock to actually look at.  2 DW sensors and a PIR for $49 or 3 DW sensors, PIR and a strobe/siren for $99.

I have a 2gig CT100 thermostat, which was actually made by another company so I'm not sure what 2gig has to do with it. The thermostat is mostly supported by the A+.

I might pick up the $50 set and give it a shot. Seems like the one trick sensors have a decent chance of working.

Well I finally found them. They are actually GoControl, not sure why listed as 2Gig in the ad. PIR multi-sensor, D/w trigger, and Siren/strobe all paired and are working fine . Nice find for only $99.

Sweet, thanks for the update! I haven't had a chance to pick up a set.

@Ashok, Perhaps you could add these to the compatible sensors list?

Modifying my original post. I have tested the GoControl/2Gig door/window sensors that came in the Home Security Suite and they work as expected. Nice product for the price. I have not tested the motion sensor as of yet.

Just a quick installation note, ensure the back plate is reassembled and the tamper switch is pressed prior to testing.
