Title: Throttling Guest network
Post by: jpons on August 12, 2014, 07:37:08 pm
Not sure if feature requests for the Almond+ should go here or in the genera forum. So here it goes anyways.

I would like to see a way to throttle the guest network. I want to provide an open network, in the spirit of openwireless.org but want to limit the amount of bandwidth consumed by the guest network. I would love to be able to do this with my Almond+

Thanks,

-J

That's a good idea, but it'll take some time until we'd be able to implement something like that.

I also think this is a great idea and would love to see it implemented!

Been playing a bit with most current version of OpenWRT on another device.  There is a Luci QOS addon.

Here this morning having some issues getting to OpenWRT.  That said with some finagling did get the Luci QOS addon installed after updating another OpenWRT device build.

The base DD-WRT image does include QOS settings.

Well happen to look at the current test build of the Almond + and QOS is there and called G2 QOS.
