Title: Port forwarding need different Internal and external ports
Post by: ryan8382 on February 26, 2017, 09:06:49 am
Just bought the Almond3 for the IoT security option. Noticed that you can't do a port forwarding rule that has different internal and external ports. Looks like you can only do a range. This is required setup for use on a Tablo. You have to portforward 21022 to 8887 and 21020 to 80.

I have a Tablo also. Yes, at present the Almond 3 port forwarding does not allow for a different external port. I hope this is on the plan in the future.

I'm selling my tablo but this should be there. Seems like a logical feature to me.

The Almond+ has it. Just something the Almond 3 does not yet would be my estimate.

 >:( This definitely should be added this is bread and butter router functionality and I'm very sad to see Almond 3 doesn't have it. I have several things on port 22 and port 443 running in my network and I'd much rather have a custom external port than change all my applications, some of which  may be hard coded.

True. It is one I have been wanting although it would not help me much until DynDNS can be used again. Both things I miss from the Almond+.

I keep expecting these things to get added soon as they are basic functionalities that were supported in earlier devices. I hope they do soon...

This is one of the several reasons I use the Almonds as a mesh only, behind a more serious router (DrayTek Vigor 2830, soon to be updated to a 2860).  The other is multi-NAT; I have a /29 static IP block and I have servers on different external IP addresses.

Dear support,

Are we ever going to have Port forwarding with different Internal and external ports?  I just got a TabloTV and was very surprise that Almond3 can't handle this.

Just a bump on this one.

My security DVR need three ports open, internal/external/mobile.  Using the Almond mobile app, setting the internal was no problem, it works.  Where are the options to set up more than one port?

Any workarounds?

Workaround to more than one port is to sets range that covers all needed ports.

I also would like multiple, individual ports, and different external ports (I also have a Tablo, and many different devices that make use of port 80 for example).
