Title: Iris Door/Window/Cabinet sensor
Post by: cranecj on July 26, 2014, 01:21:44 pm
http://www.lowes.com/pd_388558-41166-DWS901_0__?productId=3735305

Fails to pair.  Begins pairing when I press the pair button, but then after 30-45 seconds, it fails.

That's a proprietary ZigBee sensor from lowe's, it only works with the iris hub and can't be made to work with other ZigBee hubs/gateways due to an additional software layer on top of the ZigBee standard.

That's a bummer.  Do you know about any of the other iris sensors?

Their Z-Wave stuff works just fine, as they're standard Z-Wave devices.
I've updated the sensor list on the Wiki to reflect which devices are guaranteed not to work http://wiki.securifi.com/index.php?title=List_of_compatible_sensors_-_Almond%2B_2014

Could you modify the wiki so the brand says "Lowe's/Iris" or similar? It would make it easier to find.
