Please post any feedback related to R096 here.

* Nice to see the weather app can now show negatives, but -0 C looks a bit odd (for 31 F)
on the other hand, maybe it is actually quite useful ...
* When logging in from the Web the 'update' box starts off saying software but is rapidly replaced by one that says firmware...
does not seem to be a cache issue (keep refreshing the page to see it again and again).

After doing the upgrade my Android App is no longer linked and asks me for a cloud link code. I've tried un-linking on my Almond 2015 so that I can re- link and receive the code. However the unlinking fails every time. Any help would be appreciated.

@ freeality,

Please run the diagnostics app and let us know the complete message and see, if you could send the logs by the description "Logs for Ashok".

Sending the logs has reset the link. Everything seems fine now. Thanks.

Web interface completely stopped working through any web browser. Almond App on my android phone works both from cloud and locally. The Almond 2015 device interface show all normal. Diagnostics all good. Almond 2015 reports the same local IP that my router also says is assigned. Almond is in Access point mode using ethernet.
This is very annoying as I have a Windows 10 tablet permanently installed on a wall as my main access to the Almond 24/7. Was working perfectly until now. No other device I own (multiple laptops, tablets, or phone) can access the Almond web interface from my local network. Clearing browser cache does not resolve.
This site can’t be reached
<IP address> refused to connect. ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED
Any idea what happened?

Hey threader, please check for a pm from me.
-
Reply to PM sent. Thank you for your support.

@ threader,
Could you please try rebooting the Almond device and then try accessing the Web UI, did we set any static IP to the Almond through main router?
-
False Alarm. I used the WAN port in error when I moved my device to a new location. All good. Sorry for the misdirection. I have no issue with new firmware to report.
Good day.

Upgraded firmware yesterday and now having problems with selective web page loading. This is effecting ethernet, wireless connections via pc and smartphones, Nest and printers. I have rebooted and hard reset router, no luck. Any Ideas?

Is it possible for you to change the Web UI login credentials to some thing simple and try.
-
Ok, tried that and still having problems. I can get through to Google sites and your site on the pc using chrome and Edge browser. I can get to the BBC web site on the phone but not the PC. It all very frustrating. Its mixed results from the phone/tablet and PC.

Sorry about that, my bad, was referring to it as Web UI not working. Is it possible for you to try by passing the Almond and check the status, let us know.
-
No problem, I could of explained it better. The status is, everything is OK cloud connected. Pressing the cog brings up, ping 8.8.8.8 and fall back url Google.Com
-
8.8.4.4 should be the second DNS not google.com
-
Thanks mpardis, just tried that, rebooted router and pc, no joy.
-
@ B812ds1,
Let us know a bit more about the setup and to which device Almond is connected to?
-
Fibre internet connection
Surface Pro 3, Win 10 Ethernet connection - some web pages load, others will not
Nest Thermostat - connection between thermostat and base works, thermostat will not connect to internet.
Samsung tablet Android 6.01 - Googles apps work others are hit and miss - eg Nest will not connect, some weather apps will.
Blackberry Dtek 50 Android 6.01 - as Samsung
A smart switch works ok.
Almond app will only connect via local - cloud fails.
Reconnected my old Netgear router to the fibre router. Then connected the Almond into the Netgear, everything back to normal. Connecting Pro 3 via ethernet into Netgear, Android stuff and Nest via Almond wireless.
All problems started after R096 update! I appreciate it appears to be a unique problem to my set up, the work around has been stable for about 5 days.

@ B812ds1,
In order to confirm that the issue is actually related to the firmware, is it possible for you to downgrade the firmware to the older version using the Web UI and let us know the status.
-
Daft question - Where is the old firmware file?

https://firmware.securifi.com/AL2/AL2-R095

Thanks for the link anwar.shiekh.
Everything is now back to normal. All sites now load up on all devices.

After upgrade to new firmware, smartphone which used to act as a presence sensor no longer works correctly. After I leave the house, the router still shows that I'm connected wirelessly while I'm at work (far from the house) even after I wait the timeout period of ten minutes. If I reboot the router, everything works as it should. Am I doing something wrong?

I am positive, this shouldn't be happening and it is new to us. Please do send us the log files after making sure that the grace period is over and device is still showing as active. Thank you!

How do I do that?
-
@ deljo_agtor,
You could send it through LCD (Help-->Send logs) or via App.
-
Sent...sorry for taking so long but I wanted to do one last test to make sure it wasn't working correctly.

I have a 2015 that is being used as a range extender. It has been running R096 for some weeks, no problems, or so I thought. I recently bought a couple of Peanuts and have been trying to set up rules to control light timing. The rules will not work. In trying to figure out the problem, I noticed that the time will not stay consistent on the Web Interface. I can set the time zone correctly, sync with host, and the time appears to be correct. If I then leave the Web Interface and reopen it later, the time is always wrong--usually, but not always, it is an hour behind. I changed to a U.S. based NTP server, thinking that maybe the problem was related to Daylight Savings Time. This did not fix the problem.
The Peanuts are useless if I can't create reliable rules for them. Any help would be appreciated.
