In response to a support request asking about enabling remote access to WeMo switches using the WeMo app, Belkin have asked me to "trigger these remote service ports" on my router: 8080, 3478 & 8443, and they suggested I contact my router manufacturer for assistance regarding this.
I've replied asking them to clarify what they mean by that, but maybe you can figure out what they mean.
I have an Almond + purchased via the Kickstarter.

@ politas,
We need a bit more information on this to understand, are they referring to open or forward those ports?

That's what I'm wondering. Probably open, given that the devices are pluggable, so rely on DHCP leases. For a while, I did have the remote access working, but then it stopped working, and I don't know what happened, whether there was an update on Belkin's side or an Almond+ update that increased default security.

Generally you would need to enable port forwarding for remote access to it. According to a thread here:
http://community.wemothat.com/t5/WEMO-Application/Wemo-Switch-cannot-enable-remote-access/td-p/5436
The ports needed are:
3478 for TCP & UDP
3475, 5228, 8080, & 8443 for TCP
