I just get the R070 update and rules finally include ON/OFF plug-in switchs (EVR_AN158-6P3).
I can use Aeon Labs Aotech Multi-Sensor as IF condition and plug-in switch for THEN !
- EDIT -
The wether screen App is OK, i got a "can't find" message, then try again and it worked !
All Z-wave device are manageble from the Almond+ screen but only Plug-in an motion work on Web-UI and nothing from android app.
- EDIT -
A bing improvment for me so ! Keep going !
-
New apps are coming, but they're still trailing the firmware release a bit.

My LCD says up to date. It has candidate 70 zb005.
Is that the release image too, or is it not recognizing the beta as different?
-
As I wrote in another post, with the firmware update to R070, I cannot see the USB share drive in Windows 7, although I can find it mounted with the use of puTTY. Is anyone else having this issue?
Thanks,
Elliott

It's the same release.

I'll have to check tomorrow.

I'm using AP mode. Upgrade went smothly.
The beta time and temp apps work, though:
* Weather says it cannot update, but after a couple of tries, it works.
* It would be nice to have both time and temp on the same display.
* The "update succeeded" popup takes a long time to clear, and tapping doesn't seem to clear it faster.
Status shows connected devices by count, but there's no way to list the MAC addresses or other info. (Probably should have called that out some time in the past as a suggested interface enhancement.)
I've only been on R070 for a little over 4 hours, but everything *seems* stable. The router is a little warm, but I keep it flat instead of wall mounted. It's not unreasonably warm.

Just got my Almond + today. Update went smoothly. No issues - working great.
-
Getting a can not connect message after about 65%. I will try tomorrow.

Having problems with 2 things. First I can't get the right time on the router, if I do auto it is way off and if I manually set it it says its like 16 hrs ahead. Second, this is my first time playing with the rules for sensors and I followed the wiki. I want my front porch light to come on 4 hrs or so every night. I set up the rules and no response. Attached is a pic of how I have it set up.

Cree connected light bulbs pair in this release! Almond says 99% regardless of what the actual setting is, but it's a start :)
Linear Z-Wave 500W Wall Mount Dimmer Switch shows up as a multilevel switch and not just an unsupported device! values can be set with the touchscreen slider and toggled in the web interface but just having the switch in 'connected devices' makes the almond app crash on launch (on fetching sensors). I removed the app and installed the app again and submitted a few crash reports.
After troubleshooting this problem and removing all devices, clearing data and cache in the app, uninstalling and installing again it crashes every time i open it.

Let me get the Wiki page done on how do do this in OpenWRT. It's just a matter of seeing the correct time zone.

We're aware of this issue with some bulbs. We're getting samples and will get this fixed.
We got updated apps coming, not sure why that should cause the app to crash though.

Update worked this morning
-
No problems updating...it was fast an awesome.
There are a couple of things I noticed though:
1- I lost communication with some of my sensors. Ill try to delete and read tonight...
2- I still cant edit rules. This sucks since if I make a mistake or want to change things around as Im experimenting, I have to delete and start all over
but I love my Almond!
-
Editing is planned for the next firmware release, but I can't promise it'll be there.
Odd about the sensors, that shouldn't have happened.

Thank you. That fixed the problem.

It's still showing as an unsupported device for me; did you have to re-pair it? Note that I am actually able to set the light level on the touchscreen, however.

Hmmm... Update worked a lot better for most than it did for me. Running as a range extender with WPA2 wireless security. Firmware update initiated from LCD appeared to go smoothly, but, after reboot LCD does not respond to screen presses at all. Power cycled a couple times with same result. Found after one of the power cycles that if I pressed a screen button very quickly after the screen initialized, I could get 1 button press to work, but, nothing after that. Acts like it is stuck in an infinite loop. Sensor controls don't work. SSID shows up on my computer intermittently. Guess a hard reset is my next try.
-
Still says beta at the bottom, still says beta on the rules tab. Could have updated it!
-
One thing I noticed is the update reset my time zone. If you have time based rules, make sure you fix your time zone.

At the bottom of what?
Rules will be in beta for quite some time, as it's still a work in progress.

Thanks for that tidbit. The clock on LCD was still showing the proper time, so I had not even noticed the system time had reset to UTC. That would definitely explain why my night lights were not turning on and why I had to delete the rules to turn them on manually.

I had the same issue. Did make for a confusing couple of minutes while testing new rule functionality.
-
I'm also now getting rules getting mixed and firing withy the wrong triggers. Put and example in the misfiring rules thread.
-
LARS: FYI on my sensors going crazy with R70.
The sensors work....but manually...the rules are not working anymore...so Ill try deleting and redoing them...Ill give you an update

I had the same problem and discovered the time on router had somehow reset (no power outages or anything to explain this). I went into openwrt and changed the time again and my rules started working.
-
My rules weren't operating as they did before as well, but I just redid all of them manually and there's been no problems since. I know that kind of sucks if you had a bunch of rules, but that definitely fixed my problems
-
Scroder: Ahhh...let me take a look at that then...thanks
-
Rules are "BETA" so possibility of unstable behaviour is not ruled out. Stable version is coming soon!

First, each new release does seem to slightly improve.
the R069 beta had great speed, but my iOS devices constantly dropped connection, so when I saw R070 was released, I quickly updated.
Now, iOS devices no longer drop connection, but speed seems worse overall.
Connections that were giving me between 4-6 megabyte (not megabit) per second, are now averaging between 800k and 1.5 megabyte per second.
Eagerly awaiting the next build in hopes of getting everything finally working at full speed.
