Title: Version 1.2 of the iOS app
Post by: tonythetech on November 15, 2014, 01:17:39 pm
My iPhone auto-updated to version 1.2 of the Almond app an I can no longer control switches. They show a circle with diagonal line icon. Oddly enough, when I turn the switch on/off in the web UI, the detail panel on the phone shows power consumption changing.

Hi. I am one of the engineers working on the iOS app.

I am sorry for the problem you are having with this new version.

Could you please "force refresh" the sensors by pulling down on the list until a spinner shows up at the top, or logout/login again to your account. Does this resolve the problem?

My wife is furious with me.  We are still on R066 (awaiting the new Wifi Drivers), and all our iOS devices updated to Version 1.2 automatically.  None of our Binary Switches are working any longer (Z-Wave or Zigbee) that do still work with every other way to use them [LCD, Web, connect.Securifi.com, Android Tablet].  Please rectify this ASAP, we need this for our newborn baby, and for our Holiday Lights!  They worked well the other day on App Version 1.1

@matthew First thing I tried was pull to refresh. Logout and login also does not help. It is broken.

Same problem here after the iOS app update. I'm willing to test beta versions of the app using test flight :)

@wstocker, @Ohiomedic - If you sync to iTunes, you might be in luck. Look in the trash for version 1.1 of the app (Almond 1.1.ipa). Delete version 1.2 from your phone and from the itunes library. Drag Almond 1.1.ipa out of the trash and double-click it. Then install it on your iOS device and wait for securifi to release a fix.

Don't forget to disable auto update function!

@matthew: Ohiomedic made a valid point: how about betatesting via testflight?

Yep, app has clearly been broken.  What's odd is I had one sensor (z-wave switch with power monitor, called "sitting room") that didn't work before but now does.  I now have a couple light switches that don't work and the on/off switch I ordered with the Almond+ that no longer works in the app.

Not sure how you guys broke it, but it's broken.

A fix is coming, it's already been submitted to Apple for approval.

Sorry again for the troubles version 1.2 caused.

@Ohiomedic @AlexK , As for TestFlight, yes, it has been on my radar. We will have more to say about this soon.

Thank you, 1.2.1 restored our Binary Switches functionality.
