Title: CT30 Association Failed

I just got a CT30 thermostat. When I try pairing it with the Almond+ I get the message "Pairing", then shortly after I get "Association Failed." I have tried to unpair the device, but when I hit remove, and then hit the mate button on the thermostat, nothing happens. Any suggestions?
