What is the latest info about the Almond + having local control. Is that still the plan?

Yes, basic local control is already in place, but right now it's only manual control of the sensors, but we're working on adding more features and options.

that's good to hear.

a little manual work in the beginning to keep my activities local instead of being mined on the cloud is a small price to pay.
