Happy to finally received my KS backed unit late last week. Finally, I'm able to get a wifi signal all the way to my bathroom for more 9gag browsing.
However starting from last night, I noticed that my A+ died. Brushed aside as a (maybe) R065 bug and re-plug the power and voila, works as intended. Woke up this morning, same thing happened again. Went to work, came back and it died again.
From the last 3 hours, I noticed it dying with increasing frequency (not good when you are playing an MMORPG). Got mighty pissed when my character died the 4th time. Swapped back to my old Asus for now.
Emailed support [a] securifi for answers, will like to find out if other users have experienced this (or noticed it getting warmer than usual?)
Tried looking through logs on the device but it seems it does not cache anything before its timely yet sudden death everytime.

several of us are suffering from this problem. Some of got a beta firmware to try...it did not help. I presume they are working on it but have not received an update as of today.

Sorry about this, we're working on trying to solve this issue ASAP.
Can you tell me one thing, what's the orientation of your Almond+?
Horizontal or vertical?
-
Any idea into what the issue is? I am having this same issue :-\
-
I came home today and my Almond+ had also stopped responding. I had to power cycle it to get it back up. It's oriented vertically using the tabletop kickstand. I hope this doesn't become a regular occurrence. I'd hate to have to go back to my Airport Extreme. Of course I got the Almond+ so I could have a better VPN server, and since that also isn't working (even with the newest firmware), maybe I should just shelf my Almond+ and wait for firmware that works.

Mine started doing this when I was on the previous firmware until I wiped it and reloaded my backup. It was then fine for a while and has also continued to be with R065.
-
Mine started dying/freezing yesterday. R065. When it froze twice during less then an hour I gave up and went back to my old router. It's positioned vertically, with stand.
-
I have had the issue occur while the almond+ was both vertical and horizontal.
-
My Almond+ was on a horizontal orientation when it happened.
-
Please make sure the Almond+ is standing up vertically. The heat pipe and the ventilation is designed for it to work this way. It'll get a lot hotter when horizontal, but even so, this issue shouldn't be happening and we're still working on a solution.

Mine has done this once so far. Horizontal mounted to the wall. I had to unplug it and it came right back up.
