I wasn't able to find the answer to this but I thought someone else asked at some point...
Once the scenes, (and programming side of HA) is implemented, will they work together? Doesn't the capabilities of the controller dictate this? I'm getting ready to buy more devices and I'm having a hard time deciding which technology to go with... I want to make sure that when the time comes, I will be able to control them in harmony.
Thanks!

From what I've seen them say, the controller is going to treat all sensors zigbee or z-wave just as regular sensors. All commands are sent or received through the hub directly. As such, it can receive signals from a zigbee sensor then send out signals to a z-wave sensor without much problem because the sensors themselves do not communicate with each other.

Yes, it'll be possible to do "cross network" communication as we've developed a bridge that handles that.
I've seen command line demos where a ZigBee door sensor has triggered a Z-Wave siren for example.
This will of course work with anything else we add support for, say like the Phillip's Hue.
