Title: Revision of AR9880 AC wireless board used in A+
Post by: aenertia on September 03, 2014, 10:42:41 am
Can someone who has ripped off their cover/in the know - tell me what revision of the QCA ac board used in the A+ is. I am praying it is version 2.0 ...

I have PCI ID of : 01:00.0 Class 0280: 168c:003c

Which maps to several variants based on the ath10k sources and PCI-ID database. The v1 boards unfortunately are not going to be supported going forward (unsure of reasoning and cursory google over the ath10k list didn't elucidate me)

Ping me on twitter/elsewhere and I'll see if it's printed on the board tonight.

Edit: It's on the underside of the board and will be a pain to get to. I'm hoping Lars will chime in.

Awesome!

I am about 100% more enthusiastic and confident than I was yesterday that we can turn this into a reasonable openwrt target platform for doing XYZ coolthing

Let's see if this helps make it crystal clear  ;)
Ok, so it's a tad blurry, but it's hard taking really clear pictures of chips, so if it's not obvious, it's the BR4A revision.
