Title: Can't pair sensors
Post by: dacount97 on September 07, 2014, 09:23:41 pm
I've tried 2 of the 4 door sensors I received with the Almond+ and I can't get either to pair.  I don't really want to open up the other 2, since it seems like it's an Almond+ issue.  I've tried resetting the two switches, then paring again, and it still doesn't work.  I tried removing on the Almond, resetting the switch (which did nothing, Almond wise) then trying to add on the Almond, and that didn't work either.  I've done a hard reset (pulled the plug) and updated the firmware, both which did nothing.

Anything I'm missing here?

Please see http://wiki.securifi.com/index.php?title=How_to_associate_Securifi_ZigBee_sensors_-_Almond%2B_2014

We've had zero issues with these. One question though, do you have a USB 3.0 drive plugged in to the Almond+? If so, remove it and see if they pair.

You could also try doing a hardware reset if Lars' suggestions don't work.

No, please don't do a hardware reset, it does NOT affect the sensors.
You can do a Remove All Sensors under Add Sensors, as it resets the HA server.

I honestly don't know what the change was, but I just followed the linked instructions above and they both paired right away.  Maybe leaving them with the batteries removed overnight reset something?  Either way, in case ppl are wondering, the "Getting Sensor Info" should pop up pretty quickly, and I was not getting that message last night.

Thanks,
Dan

Removing the batteries doesn't do anything either, since the data is saved in flash memory and doesn't get erased simply by removing the batteries.
Glad to see you got it working though.
