Title: Connect USB Printer to Almond+
Post by: Mike91326 on September 08, 2014, 02:45:26 pm
I have an older Canon color printer that is USB but does not have a network connection. Can the printer be connected directly to one of the A+'s USB ports? If so, how do I configure the port for printing?

Not yet, but it's something we're planning on adding in an upcoming firmware.

Is it going to be some sort of CUPS variant for controlling the printer, or some sort of virtual USB thing over Ethernet?

It'll be CUPS as far as I'm aware.

Because this is the first thread I found while looking for a solution to this "problem" I'll link to the newer thread with my instructions:
