Title: No WAN over LAN ports
Post by: keesvanbemmel on September 21, 2014, 05:00:20 am
Hi there,

I just received my Almond+ and first impressions are awesome!

I have one issue I can't seem to figure out though: my WAN connection is not available on machines using a wired LAN port. They are connected, get IP assigned through DHCP, can access everything else within the network... but no WAN/Internet!

Devices connected through wifi are able to access wan/internet though.

Am I missing something?

Regards,

Kees.

Did you upgrade the firmware to the latest version?
I'm not sure what's going on here though, it's very odd, as there's no reason why the Wi-Fi should work and the LAN not.

Ok, basically I changed 2 things and now it works... let me start of with the first thing:

1. My lan connected machine was set to a static IP, I'm guessing this fixed the issue changing it back to DHCP :) sorry... dumb mistake

2. I also enabled all interfaces for LAN (see screenshot) and than disabled them again except Lan1 and Lan2. I'm pretty sure action 1 fixed the my issue, but I'm still wondering what the settings in the attached screenshot do... could you clarify this?

Regards,

Kees.

Afraid no, that's related to OpenWRT and I don't really know what it does, or what you did.
