Title: R066 and static leases from previous configuration
Post by: RevdMark on September 21, 2014, 12:56:19 pm
The update for this version removed all the static leases I had assigned in the previous firmware (annoyingly about 20 of them!). If I restore the backup configuration that I took before the update, will this be ok to restore them or will it cause problems?  I frankly do not want to have to go through adding them all again - and I don't see any good reason that I should!!

I can confirm that the static leases appear missing, however at least for me the existing DHCP leases hadn't expired yet and had the correct IPs so I just copied them back and didn't loose connectivity.

My static IPs didn't show up in the Almond+ interface, but it showed up in the OpenWRT interface.  So they still worked.  When I try to add them to the Almond+, I lose the internet, and in OpenWRT they show up twice...

I'm experiencing the same issue, as I explained in the bug hunt forum. It appears that the static leases aren't being carried over to the NutsOS interface, but are still active in the OpenWRT interface. Just head over there to make any changes until this gets resolved so that you don't inadvertently create duplicate entries. OpenWRT doesn't seem to like having duplicate leases.

I swear I made a post about this a day or two ago as well.  I found that they are still alive and well in the Almond+.  It seems this implementation of OpenWRT has two different pages /admin/network/lan and /admin/network/dhcp.  The config is still present under dhcp, but not lan.  Also, the lease time remaining is displayed differently on these pages, but the lan page matches the time displayed in NutsOS.

I concur with mrv77. Once I tried to add my leases back it borked all my devices. Looks like the leases exist, just don't show in NutOS

Same problem here. Missing in the Almond+ UI but show in OpenWRT (which I've found to be far better at things anyway).
