Is it possible to use the Almond+ as a wireless AP only? I don't want to extend an existing wifi network, instead I want to be able to use it like a stand alone AP. With other wireless routers I've used, you could connect the LAN port to your existing router via cable and then the wifi on the Almond+ would be connecting to the LAN, and you'd get an IP from your existing network. Can I just disable DHCP in the Almond+ and connect it this way?

You could put it in AP mode... Just connect your existing network to the WAN port and select AP mode on the touchscreen on the front...

Welcome to the Securifi forum!
Let us know how it went for you configuring the Almond + as an AP.

Hmm, the original firmware didn't have the AP mode, or at least, I didn't see it, but I did update it and see it.... though by that time I had figured out by trial and error that if you do connect it via LAN (nothing on WAN port) and setup the WIFI, with DHCP disabled, that it works as an AP just fine... Thanks all!
