Title: z-wave developer kit
Post by: marcin_p on October 21, 2014, 04:21:58 am
My client would like to have an application on Linux x86 platform that would work as controller and manage z-wave devices using z-wave developer kit.

Does anyone know how would such application look like from technical point of view?
Is it possible to reuse existing SDK code or one has to do everything from scratch?

you can purchase a developer kit from sigma from $3000. There is also a yearly fee of $3500 if you are planning on being an alliance member. Open Z-Wave has a somewhat compatible api to the sigma sdk so you can start with that and move over to the sigma sdk once aquired.  More information can be obtained from this site http://www.z-wavealliance.org/z-wave-for-developers-oems
