Is it possible to install a pkg tool such as ntop on the router? If yes, please give detailed steps.
BTW, the System->Software page doesn't show any packages. How can it be updated?

There is no officially supported package repo. There is an unoffficial repo, but it is a use-at-your-own-risk sort of thing, and since it's user-supported, it isn't necessarily in sync with OS "firmware" changes. The package tool for openwrt is opkg, and the unofficial repo is
http://repo.ansible.org/r1/g2/Packages (http://repo.ansible.org/r1/g2/Packages)
Again, use at your own risk, and almost certainly _do not_ use it to upgrade existing packages on the system.

Thank you matt.
Have you installed ntop? Just curious how easy it is on this setup.
