Would love to know if anyone has any experience with a water shut off valve. I found this iris one, which according to the products website uses zigbee. http://www.lowes.com/pd_579898-255-8810300L_4294821973__?productId=50134588&Ns=p_product_qty_sales_dollar%7C1&pl=1¤tURL=%3FNs%3Dp_product_qty_sales_dollar%7C1&facetInfo=
It appears that the company plans to sell an entire ecosystem for the shut off valve and sensors BUT it appears that it would also work with other hubs and not require their own devices. Would be very useful once water sensors and such are supported and working with the rules etc. For me would also be useful for shutting off my hose connections that are in a not easily accessible section of crawlspace every winter before they freeze.
I have seen a z wave one before but its price was around $350 if I remember correctly and at that price it just isn't worth it (until of course it would've been worth it).

Not one we have, so I can't promise it'll work. In fact, we haven't added any kind of valves like that as yet so...
That said, it would seem we're talking to them, so it might happen in the next few months.

Excellent news, I didn't think there was a UI for valves yet as I hadn't seen them mentioned. Just a thought since it could be especially helpful for remote monitoring of a home.
