At this point, your results will be hit or miss. Reliability of my wireless network is a solid "not very" with both 2.4 and 5ghz networks. Spontaneous reboots, internet not available, etc.

I use this with many newer devices, though no smart TVs. I have iPads, android tablets, phones, chromecasts, FireTV and sticks. The only issue I have is that occasionally my chromecasts disappear from my network and then reappear shortly after, this happened much more frequently with my old router however. Like any network I have had the occasional slow down and drop out but most are related to my modem I believe since it usually happens to devices that are wired to it more frequently than the wireless ones.

I use my router with a Samsung SmarTV.  I just recently upgraded the A+ to the latest firmware ( R70 ).  I works great.  In prior firmwares, it seemed like I would have to reboot the router once a month or so but overall Im haopopy.  THe router is downstairs and the TV is upstairs.  They are about 30-40 feet apart

For me, the wifi connection performances was not that optimal. I stay in a flat and there is no line of sight in some of my rooms. It is blocked by reinforced concrete wall. (ie there are iron re-bars within). The quality drop significantly and the radius is not more than 10 meters. But for those with line of sight or not block by reinforce concrete wall, the connection is excellent.

I worked with some equipment provider before and I came to know that there are methods to help with this situation and it need to take into account the signals bouncing along the walls. SIgnal Echo. Resulting in noisy signals. (If there are options to adjust the power of the transmitters/receivers maybe it can help. Higher power == Noisier Signals. So it is a balance that is unique for each environment. )

I do stream from my NAS to my Samsung TV via the Almond+ and it is great.
