Title: Non-functional WiFi after disabling guest network
Post by: Gygger on February 23, 2015, 01:50:00 am
Hello,
I recently upgraded the FW on my Almond+ to R070 through the web interface.  I said to save the configuration during the update.

After the update, everything was fine but I noticed that I still had a guest network enabled on 2.5G.  Through the web interface, I went in and disabled this guest network.  After I did this, the entire 2.5G network went down and refuses to come back up.  I've rebooted the router, re-flashed R070 (saving config), re-enabled the guest network, and disabled the network and re-enabled it.  Nothing worked.

Stupidly, I tried the same process on 5G and the same thing happened.  Now I have no WiFi whatsoever and my wife isn't too happy.

OpenWRT shows me this:
SSID: <ssid_5.0>
Mode: Master
Channel: 36 (5.18 GHz)
Bitrate: ? Mb/s
Wireless is disabled or not associated

SSID: <ssid_2.5>
Mode: Master
Channel: 1 (2.41 GHz)
Bitrate: ? Mb/s
Wireless is disabled or not associated

Any suggestions?  I am going to try going back to R069.  Hopefully that works.

Just a quick update...
Reverting back to R069 works.  I have WiFi again!

Next step is to go back to R070 and NOT touch anything for the love of god.

Yep, WiFi is gone on R070 after updating from the Almond+ screen.  Going back to R069.

Looks like I'm sitting R070 out.  Let me know when R071 is available.

Securifi tech support recommended that I install R070 but de-select the "Keep current config" box.  It is basically a factory reboot with R070.

I had to set up my networks again but that seemed to do the trick.

Thanks Tech Support!

Strange, did you try turning it back on from the lcd screen?
