I just added a peanut and want to make a start stop rule for it based on time. I have the latest beta software. I do not see rules on my router screen nor in the app. The peanut is correctly registered.
What do I need to do to make a rule for the peanut.
Btw I am in extender mode.

I did find a way from my PC. But not in the router nor in the app.
-
Its only available from the local web ui at this time. The rules will obviously still work once they are set in the router even if you don't use the local ui regularly.
-
I guess I am confused. All I want is the peanut on between 8 am and 8 pm.
I wore a between rule that says on forcthatvtimcwith a then off.
Nothing happens. The rule us there when I load ui.
I can turn on and turn off the peanut from the ui.
What am I doing wrong?

Make sure your time is correct first. It is under the openwrt settings.

Which firmware are you using?
From R070as the time can be updated in the rules UI and it should tell you if it thinks it's wrong.

Time is correct in the ui on my PC. I have on set for 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM using "between" then off.
I want the switch on 12 hours a day.
I have it saved and I see the rule when I log in to the ui.
It does seem to respond to the rule.
I can turn it on or off in the UI.
What am a doing wrong with my simple rule?

Rules only show in the LAN web UI. There is no rules tab in the app or on the LCD UI. That is why you can't find it.
-
You should set two different rules. The first should be AT 8 AM not between and should set the peanut on. The second rule should be AT 8 PM to turn the peanut off. That would be my recommendation and it should work. Hope it helps.

I will try this.
Thanks!

Yes, this worked.
What is between for?
-
For when you want something to only occur between certain hours of the day.

No worries, for example between 7 AM and 9 AM if my front door is open turn on my lights. So any time between those hours when you have a trigger do this action.
