What is the field of view of the Securifi motion sensor? Is it safe to be used outdoors under cover protected from rain?
I'm looking at pairing a bunch of motion sensors with power controls, probably like this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008VWBNAU/
Anyone been successful setting up security lighting?

I wouldn't use it outdoors, as even though it'd be protected from rain, it wouldn't be protected from humidity, as it's not sealed.
I'm not sure what the field of view is.

I would be concerned about the temperature range. Even in our enclosed porch, I have found that "indoor" electronics have a real problem dealing with the temperature extremes.

Yeah, I'm thinking I'll need something like the Aeon or Fibaro multi-sensor. I think I've only seen the field of view specified for one motion sensor and it was 90 degrees--not nearly as good as what's out there for motion lights. But, having sensors not at the light source could negate the need for a 270 degree sensor.
Seems like with all the buzz for HA that someone would have stuck z-wave or zigbee in a motion-sensing flood light by now. You could do some interesting, useful stuff by having these sensors all over and have their lights controlled by any other sensor, rule, etc.
