I was an original kickstarter backer and have noticed that my Almond+ randomly disconnects from the internet for a few seconds and re-connects. I've tried changing channels but it still persists. Has anybody experienced anything similar? If so, how did you fix it?
thanks

You might still be running the old firmware. Go to More>Help>About and check if the firmware version is AP2-R072 or not. If its any other version prior to this, you may need to update it.

Thanks. I did check and I am running R072. What i noticed is that the disconnects happen about every 30 minutes, and they are VERY short, maybe a few seconds. For most of the connections in the house its not a big deal and doesn't affect anything. The reason i notice it is because one of the home security monitoring apps on my android tablet will completely disconnect and drop the video feed. I am running off of the 2.4 frequency if that helps/

Is your ISP Charter communications?
They are very fickle about requesting DHCP leases...

I have this issue as well, I just updated to R072 and I am using Verizon FiOS. I had the issue before I updated and remains after I updated.
Thanks,
Andrew

I also received mine as a backer and have had the same issue since receiving it. Sadly because of that I am only using it in AP mode rather than as a router. In case it matters, my ISP is also Charter.

Iv seen this issue but was originally blaming it on my wimax modem/router... Come to find out.. its NOT the modem.. since a device directly connected to it via ethernet doesn't seem to have the dropouts.. email sent...

I has this issue right after updating to 72. Power cycling the Almond+ resolved it for me.

I to am having mine drop out and having to reconnect the device. I just setup some with static IP. So I just delete the static and will see what will happen. Before the static IP these device seemed to do better. I will see and let you know.

Please PM joe.john@securifi.com and cc to saidur.rahaman@securifi.com and ashok.kumar@securifi.com for assistance on this.

Ill give a slight hint... Has anyone tried a hard reset after checking to make sure their Almond Plus has the current firmware?
Actually troubleshooted a bit with one of the folks mentioned to contact..Ended up doing a hard reset (using the button) vs a soft reset....
Still think theres something amiss with 2.4g connectivity (pre reset, it was getting dumb and devices did not want to connect on 2.4 to the almond) ... and perhaps somethings not being set correctly after a firmware update as well, at least in my situation..
Still have to wait a bit longer to fully test it out..
Something for folks to try out..

While running all weekend in Extender mode it was solid.....no issues....
When trying to change to a different router to repeat however...
Tried Disabling the Range Extender and setting up the extender again, with a different router... Didn't work.....
tried to reconnect/disconnect.. nope.. still cannot connect to the extender SSID's...
unplugged it and restarted... Back in business... Its as if any time you change anything due to wireless you have to unplug the router and restart it..

I was having this issue after the R072 upgrade as well. I ended up factory resetting the Almond+ three times before it was resolved (first on the touchscreen, second through the NutOS web interface, third [finally resolved the issue] through the OpenWRT web interface). I'm not certain that performing the factory reset through OpenWRT was any different than through the touchscreen or through the NutOS interface, but I haven't any issues since, so perhaps the third time was simply the charm. FWIW, I did not have these issues before the upgrade and my ISP is Charter.

I am having this same issue with Charter as my ISP. I am sending a PM as instructed above.

Meh... I'm still having issues. Just not as badly as I was before (maybe once every 1-2 hours now). I'm noticing OS X Messages disconnect from FB Chat and Google Talk for 3-5 seconds. Running a constant ping to 4.2.2.2 during this time and it drops as well. Happens whether on wireless or wired. Doesn't happen with computer direct to cable modem. I'll go ahead and email the referenced contacts...

Someone from the support team should be in touch with you about this issue.
