Title: DMZ
Post by: ggaspari on July 14, 2015, 10:10:56 am
Hi guys,

I'm trying to set up a DMZ so I can access my PC from outside on ports 8080, 8081 and 9091
So far I did this

This should work, but I cannot access it - Says "can't connect"

What else should I do? I was using a tomato based firmware and am new to OpenWRT

Is the DNS ready for accessing your network? Obviously going to that IP would not work.

Did you try port forwarding? I use that when I only need a few ports and that works fine. DMZ opens up everything to the target.

You can use a DDNS service and/or utilize port forwarding and still maintain some security to your network.

I would recommend DMZ either if you just want to access your pc from the outside.  You are creating a huge risk that way.
Just check what ports you need and then set up port forwarding.
And a DDNS is also nice in that case :)
