Title: New IP Camera

I have been able to manage my network pretty well since getting my Almond+ almost a year ago. I just bought an IP Camera and am not very happy with the lack of a Mac version of software for it since I primarily run Mac PCs at home. I set the camera to a static IP so if it reboots there is no change but was looking for a way to access the camera directly through the Almond rather than their horrible iOS app. Any suggestions on this would be great. I have searched the forums and do not see anything quite like what I am looking for on there. I hope I gave anough info but if anyone needs any more from me, let me know. The camera is a Rocam NC300 btw connected through wifi but can also connect via lan.

There is no IP cam viewing software built into the almond+ or its apps. It has been suggested / requested as part of the home automation / security platform. It was discussed in depth in several posts including some viable options for incorporating it in the future. Based on the state of progress since then, I wouldn't hold my breath at this point if I were you. There are several apps that work on iOS you can buy that are well reviewed.

I realize it wouldn't be a built in option from those posts you mentioned. I had seen those. I was looking more at setting a port up for it so it is easier to find using those iOS apps or even my Mac. Right now I have a static ip on it but setting up a port for it is a bit above what I know exactly how to accomplish without some guidance. I guess I am more looking to use the Almond as a gateway to it rather than handle the actual softwRe side of it at this point.

A common solution is to use DynDNS to assign a domain name to your IP at home.
You then map some ports to your IP camera.

Get some off the shelf IP Camera viewing software.

Plug in your domain name http://watchingmyfishathome.com into the IP Cam viewing software.

Typically you will need a user name and password to log into the camera itself
