Title: How do I specify the 2 channels for 40Mhz channel width?
Post by: cflury on July 21, 2015, 01:45:24 pm
Hello All,
I have been trying to use 40MHz channels with my Almond+ but I am unable to specify the channels to use and when I look with inSSIDer it shows my channel width as 20MHz. Has anyone been able to get wide channels to work?
Thanks,
Chris

@ cflury,

Ensure that you got the latest firmware on the Almond+ and go to Wireless-->Advanced Settings-->2.4 GHz Width--> enable 20/40 MHz.

I have done that. How do I select the 2 channels to use for broadcast (ie. 3 & 4 vs 4 & 5)?

@cflury,

On the 2.4 GHz when we enable 20/40, if the channel is selected as 1 then the next channel to it would be 5. In this manner, if the channel is 6 then next channel would be 10.

For 5 GHz, if the channel is 36 then next channel would be 40. Depending upon the bandwidth we select it would increase the data rate.
