Not sure what happened in the past few days, but have something odd going on with my Almond+. My Macbook Air, iPad and iPhone will all of a sudden lose connection to the Almond (this happens on both 2.4ghz and 5ghz). On my Macbook Air for instance, when I lose the connection, if I look at the wireless menu, I see my wireless ssid with full signal. When I select it, it attempts to connect for a few seconds then decides to ask for the wireless password, even though it should already be saved in settings. The same occurs for my iPad and iPhone.
I tried moving the almond around to see if there was interference from something, no dice. I did a reset of the almond using the reset button on the device itself. It worked for about 24 hours then happened again. If I reboot the almond, it works for about 24 hours or so and then the issue happens again.
I have the Almond in AP Mode, if thats relevant. Previous to this, the Almond has been solid with no issues at all since I got it from the Kickstarter campaign.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jon

You could try the recommedation by Ashok in the following thread.

I edited the script and commented out the individual lines.

I'll give that a shot, but wasn't that more for people that were losing WAN/Internet connectivity? My issue is that the wireless decides to kick me off and then I have trouble connecting back again.
I'll report back if this does indeed fix my issue.
Thanks,
Jon

You are not the only one. There is behavior that has no pattern when the router either drops wireless clients or loses internet connectivity. It's for a moment or two and not reproducible. Coupled with the anemic HA ability its enough to make this product a paperweight.

I've been experiencing the intermittent wireless disconnections as well. As suggested, this is what i did
ssh root@AlmondPlus
cd /sbin
rm network_wan
shutdown -t 1 now -h
after about 30 seconds, turn the thing back on, wait couple days and Voila! Same issues!
The way my wireless issue manifests itself, at least on my Samsung Galaxy phone, is that even when the SSID is visible, when i try to connect, i get authorization error. Router reboot usually fixes the issue... until next time. Wired networks seem to be fine, at least no noticeable interruption to my movie streamings :)

This is EXACTLY what happens to me. Everything was fine up until a few days ago. I'm not sure what changed.

I've got the same issue, however it also affects the wired connection. Very strange it also suddenly occurred one or two days ago.
I e-mailed Ashok and then I contacted support.
UPDATE!
There might be some problems with my ISP so disregard my post.

Same issue here here. Without any changes the unit is slowly deteriorating. Clients devices are having trouble connecting, performance is declining. Ive been looking at new routers.
-
Just to report back: I commented out the lines in that script and still get the issue. Has anyone contacted support about this? Does anyone know if the beta firmware addresses the issue?
-
I'm on the latest beta firmware, and the issue is not resolved.
-
It should be noted that this issue does not impact "all" Almond+ units.
Would be helpful if the folks with this problem contact tech support so that Securifi can track the units with the issue.

I spoke to support earlier today, they said that they are aware of the issue and will address it in a firmware that will be provided for me in the next couple of days (He said tomorrow, but I doubt it will happen that fast). Anyways, the tech said a senior engineer will be reaching out to me. I'll post updates here once I have more info.

Have the same issues on wireless. I have tried most of the fixes. I like the Almond+ a lot but just recently I purchased a new router. Wireless on my Almond has just went down hill over the months. Plus this new router has full router functions. I want them to succeed with the Alomond+ but I need a router that works now. I will be watching to see what happens. Good luck.

I have one device (Kindle running CM11) that will lose the wifi every 10 minutes; other devices do not during that same timeframe, and Acrylic shows the signal is there non-stop.

Interestingly enough, after moving all HA off of A+ and onto a different hub, WiFi internet connectivity problems have been reduced to almost nil. In over a month, internet has only dropped once or twice, instead of multiple times per day.
Whether this is a result of less workload on the A+ , or less radio interference since Zigbee and WiFi are both on the same 2.4G frequency is unknown.

Any word on this firmware?

I've only gotten a reply from them today, which isn't much of an update really:
Thank you for contacting Securifi.
I am contacting you to let you know that we are still working wireless performance issue on Almond+. Hopefully, our next Beta firmware would help us in improving it and soon would get back to you with an update. Thank you!
If you have any other technical questions, please feel free to send us an e-mail to support@securifi.com or call at 1-855-969-7328 FREE (Toll-Free), Monday to Saturday 10:00 am to 10:00 pm EST. We would be happy to assist you further.

It could be nothing, but... I am in Los Angeles, and I've noticed that my wireless connectivity problems started when we were having an unusually warm weather. 2 days ago, I unplugged the a+ and let it just sit on it's shelf over night. After it got nice and cool, I plugged it in and it's been chugging fine for the last 2 days. Could it be an overheating problem? Is it baking inside? I wonder what Almond+ BSOD looks like. :)
@rldreams - I don't have any ZigBee devices, but I am loosing wireless networking just the same...
