Xiaomi sensors and trigger are using zigbee with their own hub, has anyone tried them with Almond+?
They seem to be a lot cheaper than any others I've found, and are available from under €10 online from sites like this: http://www.gearbest.com/smart-light-bulb/pp_257679.html?vip=66828
I'm tempted to order a few samples but would prefer to get some feedback first :)

save your money. As you already said they work with their own hub and are using their own Zigbee authorization key. They will not work with any hub other than their own.

Ah, not what I was hoping to hear :(
Oh well, if it sounds to good to be true...

hi,
we have tried the xiaomi smart home suite and apparently the sensors only work with its own hub
we tried adding the motion, door/ window, wireless switch sensor to almond+ and it doesnt work
and you are right, xiaomi is dirt cheap
if xiaomi fixes this and decides their sensors/ actuators work with the rest of the smart gateways out there, things should get pretty interesting

I tried the door sensor, it didn't work. Model MCCGQ01LM

Just asking.. is there a way to get their hub to receive notifications from almond+?

I know I am resurrecting an old thread but this seems like the most relevant on the subject.
Smarthome's zigbee system has made them work.

I dont see why Almond should not have them working.

You should note that it isn't officially supported but is supported by many hours of work by interested community members. Securifi doesn't have that same ability to allow customer integrated devices. It is not usually worth it to reverse engineer access to the device when the company, Xiaomi in this case, could release an update or change the item enough so that it stops working after hours and hours of work. That's the main reason why adding devices officially is the benefit, in this case Xiaomi doesn't seem interested in allowing other manufacturers to work with their devices.
