Is there a way to keep the Time on a reboot.
Time seems to reset -8 hours and throws off all my rules.
Being able to set the time in the App would be a great help since I can reboot from the App....

Time should remain through reboot.
Goto the LCD interface and use the time app to automatically set the time. It will sync to an NTP server.
Also, check your country setting. Are you in the U.S.?

This is happening to me also, but just sporadically, not after reboot.
I'm located in the US.

I reported elsewhere that on April 6 my Almond's time shifted. Apparently it had switched timezones, it was still NTP synced. It stayed at that until I discovered it and corrected it, and hasn't switched off my timezone since.
The Almonds by default are using 4 servers in the .tw (internet) zone. I wonder if that has something to do with it.
If it happens again I will either switch to a local server or perhaps try out the pool http://www.pool.ntp.org/en/use.html (http://www.pool.ntp.org/en/use.html).

Personally I would recommend setting a good NTP pool server.
The several I use are:
0.pool.ntp.org
1.pool.ntp.org
2.pool.ntp.org
3.pool.ntp.org

Mine was also shifted. Should have been 10:20 local, read 2:20. It resyned with no problem & corrected...
...but still weird.

Same for me. I believe you can set it in openwrt and it sticks.

I have noticed the time shifting on mine as well. For about a week I was having issues with connectivity and checked and was a few days off. Once I synched the time, most of my connectivity issues went away. It shifted again yesterday. I noticed when I couldn’t access content from my phone connected to 5Ghz WiFi. Synched again and everything has started working again. I have started to keep the clock running 100% on the screen so I can see when it shifts.

Login to the Open WRT-->System-->System and select the correct location and save the settings or under the Rules tab once we click on create rule on the right you have the option to update the time.
-
My time zone was already set correctly. I have updated the NTP Pool and the screen timeout. I will advise if I still have time shifting issues. :o
-
I rebooted and a little later I had a time shift again.
Confirmed Time Zone = America/Chicago (Central Time)
New NTP Pools saved earlier still in settings.
0.pool.ntp.org
1.pool.ntp.org
2.pool.ntp.org
3.pool.ntp.org
Screen Timeout set for 999999
When I noticed the shift, I updated the time from the display and it corrected the time.
Any other suggestions?

@ Olithic,
Once you have update the time either through Open WRT by setting the correct location or by updating through Rules page, don't update or synchronize through Time App LCD as long Almond+ is connected to the internet it would update the time correctly.
-
What do I do when time shifted and devices are havings issues with connecting to the internet? Do I need to relogin to the browser and refresh from there?
-
@ Olithic,
First thing, if the Time changes we should not loose the internet connection, in fact, if the internet connection is not there that is when Time won't update. Hence, please do make sure that the internet connection is stable first.
-
@ Ashok - The connection has been stable. I am acutally running two AP's. One for IoT (Netgear with Cable connection) and then Almond+ for my internal netowork. Devices on the NetGear do not miss a beat and if I connect to the Netgear SSID's I have still have access.
Current connection is Xfinity 150MB down and 12MB up.
