After 3+ months of having a nice stable router in my A+ after I removed all the HA from it ,I just had to go and screw things up and upgrade to 083. Now for the past 4 days since I updated the firmware from 080 to 083 all the connections issues that disappeared when I removed all the HA have suddenly returned. Connections even over cat6 are sketchy , connections to IP cameras time out even on LAN, streaming movies at 720 is mostly okay, but at 1080 there is constant buffering.
Here we are at 2 PM and I have had to reboot the A+ no less than 6 times so far today because it loses its WAN connection to the modem. I finally gave up and decided to do a hard factory reset to see if maybe I can clear it out and get it to stabilize itself again.
Even doing the hard reset was an adventure in itself, since I had not backed up my settings in 3 months ( no need to when it was actually working). It took 5 tries to get desktop to stay connected to A+ on LAN long enough to go through WRT and make a fresh backup so all my static IP addresses, network settings didn't have to all be entered manually again. Well that trick didn't work , ( well it worked for about 30 seconds ) I sat here with the status window up on LCD watching it cycle internet connected, internet disconnected, internet connected internet disconnected . I rebooted the A+ 2 more times to get it to stay connected to the modem long enough to actually make this forum post. Maybe my internet actually was going out, but I doubt it. When I lose WAN connection through A+ , my modem still shows a connection and even shows traffic to A+, yet I can't even get into the modem's IP address through A+. I finally gave up up took the Cat6 jumper from desktop to A+ and plugged it directly into the modem.
I am quickly regretting NOT getting myself a new router for Christmas because A+ had been behaving. I regret even more screwing myself by actually updating the firmware when A+ had been behaving and performing so well for 3 months. I think BB is open until 6 tonight. As much as I hate their over inflated prices, I can't go into/ through a holiday weekend with all the people coming over with NOTHING in my house working because I was stupid and updated A+ firmware that took 6 months to be stable enough to be released . I've been saying I need to go through and organize everything better with all the new toys I keep adding that need static IP addresses. I just wasn't planning on spending my Christmas Eve doing it.

No backups?
I'd do a quick file search, just in case you may have made one.
When you removed all the HA stuff, I'll wager you also modified something else in search of gour "solution". One of the network fixes that involved modifying or removing some WAN script info.
Certainly try that again.
Also, disconnecting the streaming video used by the surveillance system, as you are home for the holiday anyway.
An old backup router laying around? Surely with all that hardware you have something? Heck you can run a dhcp server off a PC that is jacked into your ISP modem. All quick fixes to be sure, but better than playing with nonsense.
