Title: DLNA Server issues.
Post by: Shazster on February 07, 2016, 07:05:14 pm
I do not think the Almond+ enjoys being the platform for a DLNA server. After transferring my music collection to the attached USB hardrives, I moved one copy of my library to the folder mnt as suggested in the wiki and enabled the DLNA server.
Within an hour my Almond+ dropped connection, screen went dark, and seemed to be overheating. Had to reboot the system.
I have since disabled the DLNA server. Drives are still attached.

@ Shazster,

It is possible that USB drive might be consuming more power than usual, see if you could do the same thing using a small pen drive and check if the same thing is happening.

External HDD with its own power supply, but I'll give it a try.

Also, let us know what application you are using for DLNA service.
