Title: Water valve
Post by: mparadis on August 27, 2016, 07:08:16 pm
Do we have any updates on functioning water valves? I'm doing a bathroom remodel and would like to include these while it is more accessible if some of them work. Perhaps @Ashok can weigh in. I want to install multiple sensors this would just make it work better.

Note: check other threads I have purchased a Zooz valve for now and it is in fact working, LCDui control only at this time.

@ mapradis,

I believe we are in the process of adding the support for water valves and there was a small case, where the support did work but only through LCD. let me get back to you on this with a confirmation.

@ashok, thanks for that. I also recently learned that most insurance companies require water sensors that trigger an alarm if you have a rental property. Including water shut off valves can make this a much more viable product for rentals and other properties that may be vacant for long periods of time.

I'm definitely interested in water cutoff support, especially after seeing the Zooz model in the other thread.

Thanks

I used a electrically actuated ball valve with a zwave relay for my shut off valve and it has worked well. You could always make your own.
