Just purchased an Almond + so I have more control of when my kids can and can't be on the internet. Setup was SO easy, and connecting and naming their devices was very easy as well. I think I had everything setup and connected in less than an hour. LOVE IT so far.
Now, I do have a question for the "app" on my android device.
what is a "presence sensor" and should I say YES to "use as a presence sensor" or no? This option is listed on ALL of my connected devices, from laptops to cell phones.
Also, what i "Inactive Grace Period" ?? and right now all of them are set to "6" what is this and what should it be set at for things like cell phones and laptops??
Thanks for any help on these couple questions.

@ flyweed,
We can use the client devices as triggers under rules, if we select them as "Use as a presence sensor" and "Grace period" is till what time the network device should still be in the network and shouldn't become completely in active. This helps when you are roaming on your phone while talking through your cellular network and go out of wireless network range, once you come in the range automatically your device would get wireless and still be active.

@flyweed
A few examples of presence sensor use:
1) Rule: If smartphone inactive, then set home mode to away
2) Rule: If smartphone active, then set home mode to home
3) Rule: If Amazon Dash button active and light is off, then turn light on
Note, it is more difficult to reuse something like an Amazon Dash button for multiple things. For example, if you create another rule similar to #3 above.
4) Rule: If Amazon Dash button active and light is on, then turn light off
This rule would "overlap" with #3 and it would cause erratic behavior as one turns on the light and one turns it off, until the button goes inactive.
