Title: Digital Radios connecting to Almond 3 as Range Extender
Post by: jackg234 on December 04, 2016, 12:22:31 pm
I have my Almond 3 set up as a range extender. The connected sensors work fine and can be monitored from my phone. However, I have a Grace Digital radio which connects and plays fine with the router for my DSL connection. to the internet.  The Almond 3 is a range extender for this router.  The Grace Digital Radio will not connect to the Almond 3 Range Connector.  I have factory reset both the Almond 3 and the Grace Radio.  Any other suggestions?

Try to disable the Range Extender and run the setup through Wireless WAN and let us know the status.

That did not work either.  Still willing to try whatever you suggest.

@ jackg234,

Does it support 2.4 and 5 GHz or only 2.4 GHz and was this working with any other network before?

The Grace Digital Radio works fine when I connect via WiFi to the primary router for my DSL.

I believe the Grace Digital is only 2.4 Ghz but the specs only state the following:

True 802.11n wireless connectivity
Works with all 802.11b/g/n routers
Supports WPA Personal, WPA2-AES, and 64/128-bit WEP encryption Wi-Fi passwords

I solved the problem.  I had to reconfigure the Almond 3 as a router.   When that was done, the digital radio connected with it.
