Title: GE 12722 Switches and Alexa
Post by: stelvio1200 on February 20, 2017, 02:23:25 pm
Hi all. I have 5 devices on my A+ smarthub. I have 3 Cree LED bulbs and 2 GE 12722 switches. Everything is found in the Almond app and can be controlled. However, when I discover devices in the Alexa app it only finds the 3 Cree LED bulbs. The GE switches are not discovered. Not sure what I need to do to get the switches discovered. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I do not have that particular switch but it is pretty common. Have you tried clearing all devices from Alexa and then doing a device discovery again? Maybe rebooting Alexa? Sorry if those are pretty basic. They are things that have worked for me to get Alexa to discover new devices easiest (or discover old devices that it can now control better).

Thanks for the tips. I have removed and discovered but I haven't tried rebooting the Echo. I will give that a shot tonight and post my results.

No luck. The Echo doesn't recognize these switches as devices.

Ashok. I just sent the logs I think. Got the hour glass which went away but there was no indication as to whether it sent or not. Thanks.

If you are sending the logs via the app (I am using android) you should see a Thanks dialog.

Hi Ashok,

Just wanted to let you know that whatever you did resolved the issue. The Echo can now see the GE 12722 switches and controls them perfectly. Thanks for the great support!
