Feature Request - Block/Unblock Traffic via Rules
« on: July 13, 2016, 02:08:28 am »
Not sure if there is a better place to put feature requests in but... here comes one:

In RULES (yes I know it's "Beta"), the THEN should have the ability to BLOCK/UNBLOCK traffic from a Device (Maybe enabling/disabling DHCP to that MAC address?)

Reason: I have some Wifi IP Cameras (that point outside) in my home, but when I'm home doing wok, I'd like to disable traffic from those cameras on my network, since for Work, I use Skype and WebEx a lot - and would like to keep as much bandwidth available for Work - so I'd create a Rule to disable traffic from them when I'm Home, and enable them when I'm Away.

Sounds like an interesting feature.

A workaround could be a couple controlled plugs/outlets to turn off the cameras when you are home.
Another workaround would be scheduling when those devices have access to the network, but that only works with a regular, known schedule.
Almond 3 mesh handling the home.
