Upgrade won't work
« on: August 14, 2014, 11:30:45 pm »
because I can't reach my A+ from a Web UI.     10.10.10.254 times out. . Neither does the IP that is assigned from my existing router. Can't ping either one.

Internet is connected per the Basic Status.

I even tried doing a hard reset, but no joy.

I tried connect.securifi.com but there was nothing to click on in the software tab.

Please advise.

I've asked one of the members of our software team to get in touch with you, as this is not an issue we've seen.
In every other case, a hard reset have solved the problem.

I presume your computer is connected directly to the Almond+ over cable or Wi-Fi?
When you did the hard reset, did you press and hold the button for 10 seconds?

I tried connecting my desk computer to the Almond+ both wired and wireless. I did hold the button down at least 10 secs until it rebooted itself.

While I was typing this, I decided to hard wire my laptop into one of the LAN ports- and it worked.

I'm at a loss as to why it won't work from my desktop. But I'm working now! It seems that it can't be done over a network, but only a direct connection to the Lan port itself.

This sounds like a networking issue, can you give a basic topology of the network? For example mine is setup as such:

Modem -> Almond+ -> Network

It sounds like you make have:

Modem/Router -> Network -> Almond+ -> Network

Your desktop is on the network before the A+ and unable to access it. By plugging directly into the LAN you are on the correct network.
