R076 success reports
« on: May 26, 2015, 05:12:45 pm »
I saw a lot of bugs and problems with R076 being posted.

Are there any users that upgraded without problems?

I'd appreciate any success stories to gauge if the issues being posted are widespread or isolated.

Those that had bugs - have your reverted to R072 or have your issues been solved?

Reverted to R072. Awaiting the end of week fix. Hope it fixes any mangled data files too, so remove/re-adds of sensors isn't required. NaN% etc.

Had to factory reset the A+ after upgrading as the Wifi stopped working (all networks had bogus values for SSID and channel) and it wouldn't let me log in to the web interface any more (changing the password via the LCD UI didn't help). After that, I had to remove and re-pair my Peanut to get power readings again. Now it seems to be doing ok.

Some things work and some do not. GE bulbs are definitely a deal breaker. Also, my (Iris) thermostat which has always worked very well does not respond. Peanut plug, wall dimmer, motion sensor, Aeon Labs power switch, and tilt sensor all work normally. Door lock works but does not report status unless refreshed (Kwikset). Bulbs do work from the Almond+ screen but nowhere else.

All pretty good here. WiFi is strong and solid, Peanut, GE ZWave and Aeon Labs smart energy switches working well. Everspring flood sensor working. Haven't fully checked out the First Alert ZCOMBO smoke detector because it freaks out the dog. R076 was a great improvement for me. So happy to finally have notifications on the iOS app and power readings for the Aeon labs switch. For me, it's all very workable and finally satisfies what is promised on the box. My remaining issues are:

1) Reverse status shown on the iOS app for flood sensor and smoke detector (web pages and alerts are correct). I can deal with it for now.
2) No ZCOMBO carbon monoxide monitor status/notification.
3) Rules executed at the same time are unreliable (I haven't rechecked this on R076, but haven't heard that it was fixed). Easy workaround...

My USB drive mount has been a little flakey lately. Was working well. I really haven't investigated this. I'm now on OSX Yosemite 10.10.4 beta - so could be related to that.

I'm using it as an access point.  Update was flawless, and no problems hanging 5G off of it, even with a bunch of electronics piled on top.  :)
