Ok... The battery life and supposed long range will be a plus but not much else stood out from an end-customer point of view. Z-Wave Plus has only just been starting to catch on and already they are wanting to make it obsolete? It will be interesting to see how well it does. At least with the Almond 3 (or 3S) you can get a new dongle (once available) to upgrade the basis of your Z-Wave network.
