Any of the beta guys done this - basically plugging the Almond into the fibre Modem in place of the Hub3 box ? Any luck/Gottchas ?

I can't see there being any issues whatsoever doing so. Just enter your account details in for PPPoE and should be good to go.

Only issue is BT won't give you support without the HH3 in place so keep it handy so you can plug it in if you ever have any problems with your line.

I've used 3rd party routers on many of my friends connections successfully, I see no reason Almond+ will be any different!

Sorry to drag up an old topic, but I was wondering if this ever worked? I'm trying to replace my Home Hub 3 at the moment and I'm having no luck connecting via PPPOE.

Did you upgrade to the latest firmware? I presume you do have a separate modem though, right?
