25 character limit on wireless name is too small
« on: July 20, 2014, 11:27:47 am »
My previous router supported a 30 character long american english name for wireless. Please change from 25 characters to 30 for american routers.

You can set longer SSID's by going into the web UI, but I'll let the software team know about this issue for the LCD UI.

If I recall correctly 63 characters is the max supported by the wpa2 standard although some network equip takes even more. Should be able to do at least that many. Just a pain to setup!

Just curious, what name do you use that is so long?

This will be addressed in a future firmware update.

Probably one of those people who write a sentence in the SSID field, like so:
