Random Reboots
« on: July 21, 2014, 04:55:35 pm »
My Almond+ randomly reboots itself.  In the past week, it has happened 2 or 3 times while I have been working (I can see the router from my desk), and I don't know how many times while I haven't been here.  Everything seems completely normal once it starts back up.  The router is not particularly hot when it happens.

Do me one favour, do a hardware reset - http://wiki.securifi.com/index.php?title=Hardware_reset_button_-_Almond%2B_2014 and then let us know if the problem goes away or not.

Just did a factory reset.  I will let you know in a couple of days if that fixed the issue.

This seems to have fixed it.  I've had it on for 3 days since the hardware reset, and I haven't had to reboot it yet.  Thanks for the fix.

Phew  :P
Let's hope it continues that way.
If not, please do let us know as that would be a serious problem if it keeps rebooting.

Similar problem just happened, except this time it just froze. My wifi disconnected.  I could still find both my 2.4 and 5 Ghz connections, but received an error when I tried to connect to them.  I had the almond+ screen blanked, and it was nonresponsive.  I gave it several minutes to recover and ended up having to unplug the router to restart it.  I don't know if this is related to my earlier issue or not.

My Almond+ also reboots randomly. I tried a factory reset. It was ok for a few days and then it started again. I did a factory reset again and this time I also updated the new firmware. It still randomly reboots. Sometimes when it comes up after reboot it does not connect to the internet. I have to then manually reboot it again for it to connect to the internet.
