Band steering

Will the Almond+ ever support band steering so that you can broadcast a single SSID for both 2.5GHz and 5GHz? I'm hesitant to get rid of my Meraki just for this one feature.

I've been looking all over the OpenWRT forums and haven't found anything, so I assume it hasn't been implemented yet.

I'm confused.  Couldn't you just name both the 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz bands the same SSID and the client will choose the best one?

I had both networks configured with the same SSID, but just tonight my computers weren't getting an IP address when connecting to that SSID.  Separating out the networks to two SSIDs fixed the issue... so I'm not sure what's going on.

I'd much rather have a single network name, but seems like having separate network names might be more stable for now.
