Hard Drive Space remaining in Windows?
« on: August 18, 2014, 03:37:19 pm »
Hello!

I just got my Almond+ today, and hooked up a 4TB USB hard drive to it.  The hard drive is formatted to NTFS, and I want to map it to a network drive in Windows.  I've been able to do this, but it just shows a red bar where it usually shows how much space is available. Anyway to make it so I can see how much space is remaining in Windows?  I'm using Samba.

Thanks!

I'm honestly not sure if the version of Samba we're currently using supports 4TB drives.
We're working on getting this updated though, but it'll most likely take a month or two before that'll be out in a new firmware.
I'm assuming you're on firmware R065, as we did have some issues with this on the older firmwares.

I had a smaller USB drive plugged into and mapped through the Almond+ and it shows the same red bar on my windows laptop. I am able to read and write but the space used and available does not show. I think it was a 16 gb USB drive and it definitely shows the space when plugged directly into a USB port.
